Thanks!

Thanks to everyone for wishing me a happy birthday. The Husband took me and some friends to see U2 at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, and after we got home during the wee hours of the morning, I had discovered that he had left me a dozen long stemmed red roses. What a sweetie!

By the way, The Parents had to cancel because of the horrible rains we've been experiencing here in the Northeast. So, I made my special Moroccan B'Steeya for The Husband and a friend.

And, it was fabulous! It was so delicious, The Husband proposed to me all over again! I got home too late from work tonight (yes, this same project kept me late AGAIN) for a full recipe post, but I will do so this weekend.

Oh, and this weekend I'm trying out Macadamia nut brownies, and a tomato, zucchini, and mozzarella tart. We have a couple of dinner parties to get to, so why not make something blogworthy?

U2 - NICE!

I plan on making the blondies tomorrow. I'll let you know how they go. I have no white chocolate so I'll just use regular.

I did the blondies today and they were amazing! I was a little skeptical about the batter because I only have medium eggs available to me instead of large, and the batter was really thick. But they baked up really well and were fudgey and chewey at the same time. Thanks!

Where do you get your recipes from? Are you eclectic like me? Cooking Light is another great monthly source, but they're desserts are usually lackluster. It's no fun cutting out all that delicious butter and sugar.

And happy birthday!

i get them from everywhere. some are mine or from my mother, some from cookbooks, some from magazines, some from recipes that i've collected over the years (i have several binders filled with clippings and print outs from the internet).
