Too Hot to Cook. UGH!
New York City is about to set itself on fire this week. It's 100+ degrees, and I don't have air conditioning (except for window units in the bedrooms), so cooking in the house is not an option. We've been ordering in from local restaurants all this week. Originally, I planned to make a fish dish, a quick chicken dish, and for the first time: Quesadillas (a new, blog-worthy recipe). However, everything is in the freezer waiting for the weather to break. I'm hoping to be able to make the Quesadillas on Thursday night, and I'll post that soon.
But my question is: who's sick joke is this weather?!

Not mine. I just got a job in Santa Barbara (north of LA but right on the coast) but when I left my place up north, it was 104. And it's an eight hour drive and my car has no air conditioning. I feel your pain.
Come to New Hampshire! We're still in the 80's here and the lake is delicious for swimming!
although the weather has finally broke here, be prepared for two dogs and two people to come knocking on your door!
We had a 5 day respite from the heat, but it's back in full force!
Working in a hot restaurant all day does NOTHING for my appetite.
